What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D CFD models for existing and new tools
- Validate simulations with lab and field data to ensure accuracy
- Analyze flow performance and optimize internal fluid behavior
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and operations teams
- Design and execute test rigs to verify models and tool performance
- Document and present simulation findings clearly and concisely
- Support redesign efforts and obsolescence management
- Research new technologies to improve rotary steerable system performance
- Participate in occasional international travel
What You Need to Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of CFD or fluid dynamics experience
- Deep understanding of fluid mechanics and turbomachinery principles
- Proficiency in Ansys Fluent and 3D CAD (preferably Creo)
- Solid grasp of hydraulic systems, flow concepts, and fluid equations
- Ability to validate and interpret complex simulations
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines within project timelines
Nice to Have
- Experience with non-Newtonian fluids and extreme or downhole environments
