Are you a passionate Catering Assistant? If so, we’d love you to join our fantastic Catering Team supporting our schools within the Sheffield area (mileage is covered)!
This role sits within our Education division – catering for students. Dedicated to providing high-quality, nutritious, fresh, and sustainable food for our younger generation, we're 100% committed to supporting a healthy diet. What you’ll be doing...
Responsibilities:
- You will be required to assist the cook in producing hot and cold food in accordance with menu requirements
- To ensure that portion control is monitored to the required standard
- Setting and dismantling the dining area
- Washing up and any other related tasks
- Ensure the full area of responsibility is clean and appropriately presented
- To maintain Taylor Shaw standards on personal and kitchen hygiene, Food Safety and Health & Safety, and to operate to the standards required by statutory Regulations
- Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of the menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients
- Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
- To undergo appropriate on and off the job training and to put this training into practice within the Unit
- To undertake any other duties by the Cook Supervisor that may be required for the effective running of the Unit
- To comply with reasonable requests made by the Unit Manager or the company, including covering staff at any other unit within the contract as and when required
