What you'll be doing

  • Proactively sell hospitality packages for all events, including rugby matches and concerts.
  • Support the Sales Manager in achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Convert inbound enquiries into bookings and generate new business through outreach and networking.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of offerings to provide tailored solutions and exceptional client service.
  • Build strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and satisfaction.
  • Deliver venue tours and host prospective clients.
  • Manage accounts from enquiry to event delivery, collaborating with internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and support sales reporting and analysis.
  • Identify and cultivate new business contacts and promotional opportunities.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives and represent the venue at industry events.
  • Monitor competitors and market trends to refine strategy and develop competitive proposals.
  • Support innovation in product development and consistently exceed KPIs.

What can you bring

  • Proven experience in a sales role, ideally within hospitality, events, or a similar customer-facing industry.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with both individual and corporate clients, ensuring repeat business and high customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present to clients, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
  • A results-oriented individual with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive sales opportunities.
  • Understanding of the hospitality and events industry, with the ability to identify trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and sales reporting tools.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events and hospitality activities.
  • Prior experience in the events or sports industry.
  • Knowledge of the Scottish corporate and events market.
  • Proven ability to research, identify, and convert new sales opportunities into long-term clients.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative hospitality packages to attract a diverse range of clients.
