The Role: As Café Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day operation of the café, ensuring exceptional food, beverage, and customer service standards while driving sales and maintaining a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop the café team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Manage the daily operation of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage wastage to achieve budget targets.
- Prepare staff rotas and manage labour costs effectively.
- Build strong relationships with the client and respond proactively to customer feedback.
- Ensure the café is clean, welcoming, and presented to the highest standard at all times.
- Support and deliver hospitality and special events as required.
- Drive innovation by introducing seasonal offers and promoting sales opportunities.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience managing a busy café or hospitality operation.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience managing budgets, stock control, and ordering.
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and health & safety legislation.
- A hands‑on approach with the ability to lead by example.
- A passion for quality food, coffee, and creating memorable customer experiences.
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 | 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £35000 per annum
