What you’ll be doing…

  • As a Chef de Partie you will support, organise, mentor and train members of the kitchen team in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect of COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported.
  • Support the manager in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget.
  • Maintaining up to date product and menu knowledge, and maintaining a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control.
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness of all areas in the kitchen and of equipment.
  • Maintain and achieve catering budgeted targets and costs as stipulated by head chef and the management team.
  • To ensure all daily tasks are carried out to a high standard.
  • To assist with ordering, costing, recipes and stock taking as and when required.
  • To ensure that all casuals working under your supervision follow the standards expected within Schroders and by Elior / Lexington.
  • To ensure accurate weekly stock take is carried out and completed in the correct time scale.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are strictly adhered to and signed as and where required.
  • To ensure the accurate recording of all temperature requirements are documented correctly, raising any concerns immediately.
  • To ensure all allergen information are documented correctly.
  • Report any problems that occur with regards to Health & Safety, temperatures, cleanliness and other general issues to the correct departments, bringing to the Head Chef’s attention.
  • To ensure that complaints are handled quickly and efficiently and brought to the attention of the management at the earliest opportunity.
  • To report any malfunctions of equipment to the persons responsible.
  • To take a proactive and professional approach to the business as a whole and to actively promote Elior / Lexington to our customers and clients.
  • To adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • To carry out any other reasonable request made by a member of management.
  • Report and take necessary action for any incident of injury, fire, theft, loss, damage and unfit food to management.

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, Predominantly between 7am - 3:30pm but some flexibility is required between 7am – 5:30pm depending on business needs.
