The predicted salary is between 32000 - 48000 £ per year.

5 days over 7, evenings & weekends as required, 40 hours per week Full Time England, BS1 6TY £40000 per annum. This role sits within our Concessions division, catering for customers at visitor attractions. By continuously developing and keeping ahead of the competition through innovative catering and hospitality offers, our concessions sites aim to make every customer experience memorable. Away from the standard nine to five, these sites offer flexibility and opportunity for hospitality career growth.

Elior is proud to partner with one of the UK’s most iconic heritage sites, the SS Great Britain. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Operations Manager to oversee the relaunch of our on-site restaurant and drive the success of all catering and event operations.

About the Role

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a dynamic Operations Manager with a strong background in both restaurant management and event operations. You will play a pivotal role in re-launching the restaurant, delivering memorable dining experiences for visitors, and managing a busy calendar of private events, corporate functions, and large-scale hospitality occasions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the re-launch of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence from day one.
  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day restaurant operations, from front-of-house service to kitchen coordination and supplier relationships.
  • Manage and deliver outstanding catering and hospitality services for a wide range of events at SS Great Britain, including weddings, conferences, and private functions.
  • Drive recruitment, selection, and onboarding of a brand-new team ahead of the relaunch.
  • Lead on staff training and development, building a motivated and skilled team who deliver consistent quality and service.
  • Maintain rigorous health & safety, food hygiene, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Elior team and SS Great Britain management to ensure seamless service delivery across all touchpoints.
  • Work to financial targets, monitor budgets, and ensure profitability across all operations.

About You

We are looking for a proactive leader who is hands-on, highly organised, and commercially astute. You will have:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management with strong operational and financial skills.
  • A solid track record in event management and hospitality operations, ideally in a venue-based environment.
  • Exceptional team leadership skills, with experience in recruitment and training.
  • Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the business.
