What you’ll be doing…
- As a Restaurant Supervisor in a hospital restaurant setting, you will support the daily running of a busy catering operation that serves patients, NHS staff, and visitors.
- Working under an NHS contract, you will help ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality, safe, and welcoming food service while supervising a team to maintain excellent hygiene, service standards, and operational compliance.
- Supervise front-of-house operations to ensure efficient and friendly service to all customers.
- Lead and support a team in delivering high standards across food service, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Ensure all food safety, health & safety, and NHS contractual standards are met.
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
- Handle customer queries or concerns professionally, escalating when necessary.
- Support stock control, ordering, and daily reporting requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in line with infection prevention and control guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to meet service deadlines and quality expectations.

- Experience in a supervisory role within a food service or catering environment.
- Understanding of NHS or healthcare catering standards (desirable but not essential).
- Strong customer service skills with a calm, professional approach.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations (Food Safety Level 2 required).
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
