We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Safety Manager to join our Safety team and act as a visible ambassador for safety across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence food safety and health & safety standards, performance, and culture across a multi-site operation.

You’ll be at the heart of safety communications, supporting sites, analysing data, and driving continuous improvement, helping to ensure our teams operate safely, compliantly, and confidently every day. This role will be based at either our Macclesfield or London office, depending on the successful candidate’s location, with some travel to sites.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all food safety and health & safety queries from sites
  • Managing incoming safety reports, prioritising actions, escalating critical issues, and ensuring timely closure
  • Maintaining accurate safety documentation and records
  • Building strong, positive relationships across multiple levels of the business
  • Supporting sites via Teams calls, providing practical guidance and problem-solving support
  • Supporting the design, rollout, and monitoring of food safety and health & safety systems
  • Analysing safety data to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Creating and delivering clear, engaging presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Supporting and delivering training initiatives, coaching teams to improve safety performance
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of safety processes and reporting systems

What can you bring?

  • 5+ years’ experience in multi-site food safety and/or health & safety management, ideally within catering or food service environments
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety standards and health & safety legislation
  • Experience managing incidents, investigations, audits, and inspections
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
  • Experience designing, delivering, and managing training programmes
  • Proven ability to self-manage with a strong compliance-focused mindset
  • Experience managing or leading a team
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • A full UK driving licence (for occasional site visits)
  • IOSH or NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Level 4 Food Safety
  • Level 4 HACCP
  • ISO auditing and/or environmental management experience
  • Train-the-Trainer accreditation
