We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team from our Macclesfield office on a hybrid working basis – after initial training. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, managing payroll data, and supporting HR and finance teams with reporting and compliance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Process payroll accurately and on time, including salary payments, bonuses, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including starters, leavers, and changes to employee details.
  • Respond to payroll‑related queries from employees and management promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
  • Prepare payroll reports and assist with month‑end and year‑end payroll activities.
  • Liaise with payroll providers, pension administrators, and other third parties as necessary.
  • Support payroll audits and process improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure data security in line with GDPR and company policies.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours a week | Hybrid working
