Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces and driving a positive safety culture? We’re looking for an experienced Safety Manager to join our Safety & Wellbeing team and play a key role in championing food safety and health & safety across Elior UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys influencing others, building strong relationships and making a real impact.
You’ll work closely with teams across the business to support the delivery of our safety strategy, ensuring colleagues have the knowledge, tools and support to maintain high standards. Please note: This is a field-based role supporting sites across the UK. The role requires regular travel, typically around three days per week, although this may vary depending on business needs. Some weeks may involve additional travel, while others may allow more time working from home. A full UK driving licence is required.
What you’ll be doing...
- Champion safety as a core value, promoting a positive and proactive safety culture across Elior UK.
- Support the delivery and continuous improvement of food safety and health & safety programmes.
- Provide expert guidance, coaching and support to operational teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Carry out audits, investigations and reviews, identifying improvements and sharing best practice.
- Support incident reporting and ensure key learnings are embedded across the business.
- Deliver engaging food safety and health & safety training to colleagues.
- Build strong relationships across the business to influence behaviours and drive improved safety performance.
What can you bring?
- Proven experience in food safety and/or health & safety management, ideally within hospitality, foodservice or a similar high-risk environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, legislation, HACCP and health & safety management systems.
- Experience influencing, coaching and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience conducting audits, investigations and delivering safety training.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications including Health & Safety and Level 4 Food Safety (or equivalent).
- Experience within Education or Healthcare would be advantageous.
