As the catering partner at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, we are now looking for a highly organised and proactive Kitchen Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient running of all kitchen operations. This is a pivotal role ensuring that all food production is delivered safely, consistently, and cost-effectively — across match-days, hospitality suites, large-scale banqueting, and corporate events.

Key Performance Indicators- Effective management of all kitchen labour, including rotas, scheduling, and payroll controls.
- Delivery of high standards of food safety, allergen management, and hygiene compliance.
- Cost control across labour, food, and overheads in line with commercial targets.
- Maintenance of consistently high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
- Safe and efficient working environment for all team members, in full compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Kitchen Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchens across the stadium, ensuring compliance with Elior's operational standards and event requirements.
- Labour & Cost Control: Manage staff rotas, agency usage, and wage costs, ensuring labour efficiency and adherence to budgets. Monitor food costs, portioning, and waste to support margin delivery.
- Food Safety & Allergen Management: Lead on HACCP, COSHH, allergen protocols, and all statutory compliance, ensuring accurate labelling, record-keeping, and communication across the team.
- Cleaning & Hygiene: Take ownership of cleaning schedules, audits, and compliance checks, ensuring kitchens and storage areas always meet or exceed safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Support and manage chefs, kitchen porters, and agency staff. Ensure clear communication, training, and development opportunities are in place to build a motivated and safe team.
- Health & Wellbeing: Promote a culture of safety, wellbeing, and accountability, ensuring staff work in a positive, supportive, and compliant environment.
- Event Support: Work closely with the Executive Head Chef and operations teams to ensure smooth kitchen delivery across match-days, hospitality, and events.
- Stock & Ordering: Oversee ordering, deliveries, and stock rotation to reduce waste and maintain accurate records.
- Collaboration: Liaise with front-of-house, event managers, and wider Elior teams to ensure aligned service delivery.
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership role in a high-volume catering, stadium, hotel, or events environment.
- Strong track record in managing labour, budgets, and compliance.
- Excellent knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, allergen management, and food hygiene legislation.
- Exceptional organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and all home match-days.
- Experience in stadia or large-scale event catering.
- Up-to-date Food Safety Level 3 (or higher), Allergen Awareness, and Health & Safety qualifications.
- Familiarity with Elior systems and procedures (or willingness to train).
