Primary Role Objective
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across Alexander Stadium's non-event day and event day business, encompassing conferencing, events, hospitality, retail and food & beverage operations, reporting directly to the General Manager. They will manage operational budgets to assist in the delivery of operating profits at site level, effectively grow and retain the contract, and lead all day-to-day operational planning and delivery. The role provides best practice guidance and leadership to the onsite operations teams, ensuring business objectives, company standards and operational targets are consistently achieved.

The role is measured on the delivery of key site-based performance targets, adherence to operational budgets, achievement of financial objectives, and key performance indicators relating to client satisfaction, customer experience, employee engagement and operational compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop a service-led working environment, ensuring initiatives are implemented that deliver growth, profitability and continuous improvement.
- Lead the day-to-day operational function of Alexander Stadium, including planning, budgeting and operational delivery.
- Proactively manage site-related operational issues.
- Lead the planning process for Alexander Stadium's event day hospitality, retail, conferencing and catering operations.
- Monitor the performance of direct reports against agreed objectives and targets.
- Instil a culture of achievement, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Implement operational best practice across the site.
- Coordinate operational activities across all business functions as required.
- Participate in contract retention initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager and senior leadership team to implement and deliver the long-term operational strategy.
Planning & Organisation
- Deliver the operational strategy for Alexander Stadium's food and beverage operations.
- Develop, manage and control the annual operational budget and business plan.
- Meet and exceed agreed operational and financial targets.
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly operational reports for the General Manager.
- Build effective internal relationships to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Develop external relationships to support recruitment and attract high-quality talent.
Competence & Development
- Act as the operational liaison between Alexander Stadium and Elior UK, maintaining positive client relationships at all times.
- Manage and control operational overheads within agreed budgets.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure policies, procedures and service standards are implemented and consistently maintained.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions and development planning with team members.
- Maintain succession planning and appraisal records to company standards.
- Proactively identify and manage operational risks.
- Ensure all operational activities comply with health & safety legislation, food safety standards, legal requirements, environmental policies, duty of care and company best practice.
- Deliver and promote operational training and learning activities that support current business needs and future operational development.
Other Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and mentor future operational leaders through effective succession planning.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the role as required by the General Manager.
