We are looking for an experienced and inspiring General Manager to lead the hospitality, conferencing, retail, and matchday operations at Alexander Stadium. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a large and diverse team, ensuring the smooth delivery of both matchday and non-matchday operations. What you’ll be doing…
- Leading the day-to-day operation across hospitality, conferencing, retail, and event delivery within the stadium.
- Ensuring exceptional standards of customer service and operational delivery across all business areas.
- Managing matchday, conference, banqueting, and retail operations to ensure seamless execution.
- Acting as the key operational link between the stadium events team and Elior, building strong and collaborative relationships.
- Driving commercial performance through effective budgeting, cost control, merchandising, and operational efficiencies.
- Monitoring operational performance and implementing improvements to exceed financial and service targets.
- Inspiring, developing, and leading a large and diverse team, creating a positive and high-performing culture.
- Overseeing recruitment, succession planning, training, and team development across the venue.
- Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and external partners.
- Ensuring innovative and high-quality food and hospitality presentation throughout the venue.
- Maintaining full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, COSHH, environmental policies, and company procedures.
- Taking ownership of operational risk management and ensuring a safe environment for customers, colleagues, and contractors.
