We’re seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Senior Level Security Systems Design Engineer to join a leading consultancy that is redefining the role of electronic security (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, etc.) in the built environment. This is a hybrid working role, with flexibility to be based near London or Bath.

This opportunity extends beyond conventional security design. The team adopts a holistic, risk-based approach to deliver robust and intelligent electronic security systems for complex, high-profile projects across various sectors including education, cultural venues, airports, stadia, commercial developments, mixed-use sites, and government buildings, both in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the design of electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, etc.) across multidisciplinary project teams
  • Prepare technical specifications, design documentation, and system schematics
  • Utilize industry-standard design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
  • Collaborate with related disciplines including Architecture, Electrical, IT, and Fire Safety
  • Contribute to internal R&D and advance digital design processes
  • Research and implement emerging technologies relevant to electronic security
  • Promote integration, automation, and innovation within the design process
About You:
  • Proven experience in electronic security systems design, ideally within the built environment
  • Background in consultancy or security integration is advantageous
  • Familiarity with systems such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other Autodesk tools
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly and effectively
  • Eligible for, or currently holding, UK security clearance
