We are looking for an experienced Purchasing & MRP Coordinator to join a growing Supply Chain function supporting manufacturing businesses within the security and access-control sectors.
This is a hands‑on position combining Purchasing, MRP/materials planning, supplier management, stock control and manufacturing support.
This is not simply a Purchase Order processing role.

You will:
- Manage Purchase Orders from requirement through to delivery
- Review MRP recommendations and material requirements
- Work with BOMs, stock levels, production demand and forecasts
- Identify and prevent material shortages
- Manage supplier lead times, MOQs, safety stock and reorder points
- Expedite/chase suppliers and resolve delivery issues
- Monitor stock and material availability
- Support supplier negotiations and cost reductions
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP purchasing and planning data
- Use Excel to analyse purchasing, inventory and supplier information
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Warehouse and Finance
What We Need:
You should have:
- 3+ years’ Purchasing, Materials Planning or Supply Chain experience
- 2+ years’ hands‑on ERP/MRP experience within Manufacturing, Engineering or Assembly
- Experience purchasing components, materials or manufactured products
- Good understanding of MRP and BOMs
- Supplier management and expediting experience
- Experience identifying and resolving material shortages
- Understanding of lead times, MOQs, safety stock and reorder points
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving ability
Experience within electronic/electromechanical manufacturing, security/access control, CIPS, LXP or multilevel BOMs would be advantageous but is not essential.
