A fast-growing, global enterprise security integrator is looking to appoint a Design Estimator / Project Estimator to support complex, high-security projects across the UK and EMEA. This role will suit candidates who already have experience designing and estimating large-scale, enterprise security systems, particularly those who have worked with platforms such as Genetec, Lenel, Software House (C•CURE) and enterprise-level VMS and access control systems.
Enterprise Security Focus:
- You will be working on major, multi-site security programmes rather than small commercial installs. Typical projects span:
- Airports and transport hubs
- Healthcare campuses
- Critical national infrastructure
Your focus will be on designing and pricing highly integrated security environments including:
- Enterprise access control systems
- Server-based system architectures
- Networked VMS and ACS platforms
This is a role for someone who enjoys operating at the top end of the security market.
Your Role:
You will act as a technical authority within the bid team, supporting opportunities involving:
- Genetec Security Center
- Software House / C•CURE
- Other enterprise VMS and access control platforms
Your Responsibilities:
- Designing complex CCTV solutions
- Engineering enterprise access control layouts
- Defining server and network infrastructure
- Producing fully costed technical proposals
- Supporting bid strategy on high-value tenders
You won’t just be estimating, you’ll be shaping how systems are designed and delivered.
Design Responsibilities:
Your day-to-day will largely involve:
- Producing layouts for Software House platforms
- Developing enterprise VMS environments
- Planning server rooms and network architecture
- Building in redundancy and resilience
Tools & Technology:
This role has a strong design focus, so you’ll need to be confident using:
- AutoCAD for system layouts and drawings
- Bluebeam for mark-ups, take-offs and collaboration
These tools form part of the daily workflow.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Estimating Lenel access control projects
- Costing Software House installations
- Reviewing detailed RFPs and specifications
- Working closely with manufacturers
- Supporting sales on major tenders
About You:
This role will suit someone who has:
- Experience estimating enterprise security systems
- Hands-on design experience with platforms such as: Lenel, Software House / C•CURE
- Strong technical background in CCTV and access control
- Experience designing server-based and networked systems
- Confidence reading complex drawings
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam
