I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a rapidly growing technology and connectivity business, delivering end-to-end infrastructure solutions across the UK and Europe. This is a site-based role, responsible for delivering small to medium-sized cabling projects, or elements of larger projects, across commercial buildings, offices and data centre environments.

The Role:

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day site delivery, leading supervisors and engineers to ensure cabling installations are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating site teams and engineers
  • Overseeing structured cabling installations and ensuring quality standards are met
  • Managing Health & Safety, risk assessments and method statements
  • Managing materials, stock and ordering
  • Providing progress updates and reporting to the Project Manager
  • Carrying out quality checks and ensuring installations meet required standards
  • Reading and updating site drawings
  • Attending client meetings and managing actions
  • Producing project and installation documentation
  • Developing patching schedules and ensuring timely implementation
  • Supporting O&M documentation and project handover
  • Assisting with urgent installation works when required
  • Supporting the commercial performance and profitability of projects

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience within the structured cabling infrastructure industry
  • Experience across data centres and/or commercial buildings and offices
  • Strong knowledge of Cat6/Cat6A cabling installations
  • Good understanding of cabling product sets, particularly within financial-sector environments
  • Experience organising and managing site teams
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a high workload
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence dealing directly with clients and understanding their requirements
