This role is for a high-calibre Electrical Engineer who enjoys the technical "nitty-gritty" of heavy power systems. You will lead the design and delivery of robust electrical architectures for mission-critical data centres, ensuring 24/7 uptime and industry-leading resilience.

Key Responsibilities
- This is a hands-on design role. You will be expected to own the electrical design from concept to commissioning:
- System Architecture: Designing complex redundancy models (N 1, 2N, 2N 1) for Tier III and IV data centres.
- Power Distribution: Engineering the full power chain, including Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear, Step-down Transformers, and Low Voltage (LV) Distribution Boards.
- Critical Power Path: Specifying and sizing UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, Battery Energy Storage (BESS), and Backup Diesel/Gas Generators.
- Technical Analysis: Performing protection coordination studies, short-circuit calculations, and arc flash analysis.
- BIM & Modelling: Producing detailed 3D models and schematics, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical cooling and structural elements.
Experience & Qualifications
- Sector Expertise: Significant experience in electrical design for Data Centres or other high-availability environments (e.g., Hospitals, Investment Banks).
- Software Mastery: You must be highly proficient in:
- Amtech / ProDesign (for cable sizing and calculations).
- ETAP or SKM (for power system analysis and fault studies).
- Revit MEP (for hands-on 3D design).
Personal Attributes
- Technically Granular: You are the person who double-checks the discriminating breakers and cable ratings yourself.
- Adaptable: Comfortable working across the London, Birmingham, or Bristol hubs, with the communication skills to lead client-facing technical meetings.
