Our client is a respected engineering consultancy with deep roots in Manchester and a project portfolio spanning Healthcare, Commercial, Residential, Science & Research and Mission Critical sectors. They are hiring a Principal Mechanical Engineer — carrying greater strategic influence over both projects and people.
What the role involves:
- Serving as the primary client contact on large, complex schemes — building lasting relationships and identifying future opportunities
- Owning projects end-to-end, from defining the brief through to profitable, high-quality delivery
- Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, delegating effectively and upholding technical standards throughout
- Contributing to business development activity, including bid preparation and promoting the full consultancy offering
- Playing an active role in building and developing a strong local team in Manchester

- Extensive mechanical engineering consultancy experience with a strong grasp of HVAC, heating and ventilation systems
