We’re supporting a forward-thinking data centre developer that’s transforming how mission-critical facilities are designed and operated, reducing embodied carbon while delivering world-class performance. As Engineering Manager, you’ll shape the technical direction of a high-availability data centre and lead the teams that keep it performing at its peak.
This role goes beyond maintenance. You’ll drive engineering excellence across electrical and mechanical systems, improve reliability, and embed best-in-class standards in a low-carbon, high-growth environment.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Lead all engineering activities across critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure
- Ensure maximum uptime across UPS, generators, cooling systems, HVAC and BMS
- Develop and implement engineering strategies, SOPs and preventative maintenance programmes
- Manage and mentor engineers, technicians and contractors
- Oversee asset lifecycle management and capital improvement projects
- Support commissioning, upgrades and expansion projects
- Drive continuous improvement in energy efficiency and sustainability
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience as an Engineering Manager, Data Centre Engineering Manager or Critical Facilities Engineering Manager
- Strong background in electrical or mechanical building services engineering
- Proven experience in mission-critical environments (data centres, pharma, industrial)
- Knowledge of reliability engineering, CMMS systems and asset management
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
