The successful candidate will need to be independently motivated, able to manage a variety of conflicting deadlines and tasks, and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
In addition the ideal candidate should have:

- Familiarity with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot.
- Experience of supporting the events management process.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is desirable but not essential.
- Previous use of reporting and advertising platforms is desirable.
- Demonstrable clear communication skills both spoken and written.
- A proactive and resourceful approach to tasks, a willingness to find practical ways forward, and a confidence to ask questions when needed.
- An ability to plan and manage differing priorities independently, ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Ability to work as part of a team but also take responsibility and use your own initiative when necessary.
- Communications – Support the planning and promotion of eLife initiatives, taking ownership of campaigns and activities where appropriate.
- Design - help to create and work with designers to produce collateral, organise printing and shipping.
- Events – Coordinate eLife's participation at scientific events and conferences, including sponsorships, logistics, and shipping of promotional materials.
- Email Marketing – Help deliver the email marketing programme, supporting campaign planning, scheduling, and execution in collaboration with the wider team.
- Advertising – Assist with the planning and maintenance of digital and print advertising campaigns.
- Social Media – Support the delivery of content across eLife's social media channels, monitor conversations and trends relevant to our work.
- General Administration – Provide administrative support and undertake other duties as required to support the Marketing and Communications team, which may include helping to maintain the CRM system (Hubspot) reporting on marketing activities, and supporting our PR efforts.
The post is a permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, and offers a competitive basic salary of £28,000 and excellent benefits.
The eLife office is based in Cambridge. The role is offered on a remote basis, but will require occasional ad-hoc travel to our storage facility in Cambridge, so candidates with a full clean driving licence are preferred.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the right to live and work in the UK to be considered for the vacancy.
