Your Role & Key Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to develop and lead with our grocery customers for a forward looking strategy and best in class business plans. You will lead the high street account team to drive the growth and profitability agenda within Elida Beauty and externally. You will have overall responsibility for the channel P&L.
- Set the overall strategic direction for the grocery channel including customer prioritization and brand focuses.
- Manage and develop the relationships with all key grocery customers across buyers and more senior level contacts.
- Oversee total grocery plan and ensure it maximizes sales potential across portfolio, managing the mix between accounts.
- Be the internal expert on grocery customers; develop, implement and optimize the customer strategy.
- Lead the grocery team to deliver targets and drive best in class customer plans.
- Identifying and coaching talent at all levels.
- Negotiation of JBPs, trade terms, pricing and funding.
- Manage the channel P&L and support team to enhance ROI of investments made.
- Work in close collaboration with internal teams to ensure plans are aligned to drive the best activations possible across all retailer touchpoints.
- Keep the consumer at the heart of the plan by working collaboratively with our category teams.
Your Key Tasks:
External- Develop & maintain strong relationships with customers, extending network outside of the buying teams as appropriate.
- Develop & lead your Customer Business Plan implementation, reviewing and adapting the plan throughout the year to maximize results.
- Drive annual JBP negotiations and promotional plans with your customers.
- Ensure effective use of trade spend with your customers by evaluating promotional and merchandising activity.
- Land range review opportunities and listings of innovations.
- Ensure retailer deadlines are met.
- Effectively manage retailer online channels to accelerate growth.
- Manage and negotiate pricing with retailers.
- Become an expert in retailer price and promotional strategies.
- Lead key competitor analysis and reporting.
- Line management and development within the grocery team including sales assistants and KAMs.
- Promotional analysis to determine the success of prior promotions, using these learnings to influence future plans across the channel.
- Input into the S&OP process including forecasting and review.
- Work closely with Customer Service to improve performance.
- Reporting on EPOS sales data on a regular basis, supplementing with any additional insights data where relevant.
- Monitor Customer Performance by tracking customer contribution and market share for major categories.
- Act as active ambassador of Elida Beauty at the customer and of the customer at Elida Beauty.

Skills and Experience
Educational Background:- Degree level education, preferably in business/sales and marketing.
- At least 4 years of working experience in Sales or Managing customers (retail or supplier side)
- Proven track record of managing & delivering against sales & margin targets
- Ability to demonstrate people led & purposeful leadership
- Excellent relationship building expertise
- Negotiation experience (including JBPs)
- A passion for the Beauty & Personal Care World
- E commerce/Digital experience
- Experience in Beauty & Personal Care Industry / working with BPC brands
- Functional and technical knowledge
- Sales: Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Relationship building skills
- Synthesis of data and insight
- Intermediate ability with MS excel
