This role will be responsible for shaping the understanding of appropriate patient identification, initiation of Lilly medicine/s, and ongoing support within the community of regional providers who will care for patients seeking treatment for Obesity. The role will position Lilly as a trusted partner, capture therapy area opportunities, and differentiate our brand/s.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive clinical value and influence that supports our commercial business goals within the Obesity Market.
  • Establish Key Customer Relationships:
  • Position Lilly as a strategic collaborator with key prescribers.
  • Identify and understand the decision-making network within clinics.
  • Establish understanding of a practices ability to drive & implement use of new treatment modalities in treating Obesity.
  • Capture Compliant Obesity Commercial Opportunities:
    • Position Lilly medicine/s as clinically differentiated based on approved product label.
    • Drive product new patient start uptake within approved indication/s that achieves/exceeds business goals.
    • Develop robust account plans with B2B managers that maximize commercial opportunities.
    • Support Value Account Managers (VAMs) and work with key customers that work within the NHS and private settings, along with providers to influence optimal position for product in treatment algorithms.
    • Execute tactical plan that maximizes the impact of P2P and non-personal channels to drive results.
    • Enable HCP delivery of a positive start and stay experience on Lilly’s Medicine/s.
  • Differentiating Lilly Brands:
    • Always demonstrates high integrity & compliance.
    • Support VAMs to drive awareness of the value proposition for Lilly Brand/s.
    • Compliance collaboration with medical colleagues to address customer needs.
    • Deliver Omnichannel experience that provides the right resources at right time to the right customers.
    • Develop & maintain mastery of product knowledge for therapeutic area & appropriate competitor products.
    Basic Requirements:
    • Existing experience in pharmaceutical sales.
    • The ability to travel within assigned region is essential for the development of our existing core business.
    Additional requirements:
    • Experience of working within both the NHS and Private Sectors.
    • Desire to be the best in a highly competitive environment.
    • Proven track record in identifying and converting business opportunities into growth.
    • Proven track record of effective partnership across account management and sales teams.
    • Excellent communication skills, presentation skills and stakeholder management.
    • Ability to build strong internal/external relationships and stakeholder management.
    • Excellent demonstration of key capabilities such as in call selling skills, communication skills, key account management, business planning, personal accountability, flexibility and desire for success.
    • ABPI Qualified (or to become qualified within defined period of starting SBM role).
    • Proven track record in Pharmaceutical Sales.
    • Full UK Driving license.
    • Obesity market experience desired.
    • Account management experience.
    • Strong business & commercial acumen.
    • Effective planning, prioritization and project management skills.
    • A demonstrable track record in the successful development and implementation of account plans.
    • Strong influencing skills with an ability to deliver highly impactful interactions with the customer.
