What you’ll do: The UK Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing key elements of the UK’s daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role requires strong technical accounting capability and plays a critical part in month‑end close, audit support, and ongoing enhancement of financial systems, processes, and controls. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
- Lead UK VAT compliance, including return preparation, close activities, VAT advisory support, and acting as the primary HMRC liaison.
- Oversee UK treasury activities, including cashflow forecasting, banking operations, dividend processes, and insurance administration.
- Manage accounting for UK pension and medical schemes, ensuring accurate general ledger entries and supporting statutory and corporate reporting.
- Lead end‑to‑end accounting for UK & Ireland rebate schemes, delivering accurate submissions and comprehensive documentation to ensure full audit readiness.
- Support statutory reporting and month‑end and year‑end close activities.
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance, documentation, and overall compliance.
- Prepare ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
- Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement, enhanced controls, and operational efficiencies across the finance function.
