The Role:

  • Understand the general principles of spray-painting technology, paint composition, paint mixing and the various methods of paint-spraying vehicles. Also to update your knowledge regularly when product developments/improvements take place. Attend training courses as necessary.
  • Prepare vehicles fully before painting to include masking, sanding, and other necessary preparation work.
  • Spray paint to the required finish/standard always having regard for customer care/satisfaction.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
  • Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications & customer satisfaction.
  • Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales.
  • Work skilfully and safely under pressure.
  • Work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Be flexible in your approach.

Necessary skills/Experience:

  • Time Served Vehicle Repair Technician
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime readily available

For this role we are looking for someone who has had previous experience in a similar role and has completed a modern apprenticeship in this field or equivalent. We would like you to have a working knowledge of automotive systems and the specific materials required for the repair process. You need to have an honest and diligent approach to work with the ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality of work. You will also need to have a full and valid UK driving licence.
