Elgin Energy seeks a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to ensure high standards of HSE throughout our project pipeline, from development to energization.
Your main role is to ensure compliance with HSE regulations, promote a safe working environment, conduct risk assessments, and advocate for best practices in line with legal and organizational standards.
Candidates must demonstrate experience managing HSE in the UK renewable energy sector and possess strong stakeholder management skills.
What you will do:
- Develop and update HSE policies and procedures according to UK legislation, ISO standards, and industry best practices.
- Advise and guide management and workers on health and safety matters, including safe work practices and emergency procedures.
- Plan HSE activities, set objectives, and establish performance standards.
- Audit HSE systems regularly to promote continuous improvement.
- Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement control measures.
- Inspect sites to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure contractor compliance with HSE policies.
- Supervise PPE use and incident reporting, investigation, and record-keeping.
