We are looking for a driven and strategic Marketing Account Director (New Business Development) to join our award-winning agency based in the stunning North York Moors. At Elf Marketing, we provide hands-on, results-driven marketing services that help businesses grow and thrive. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an ambitious, experienced professional to lead our new business efforts and develop lasting client partnerships.
This is a key role within our team - perfect for a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys winning new business, and is passionate about delivering smart, strategic marketing solutions. You will lead on marketing and sales activity, working closely with both clients and colleagues to deliver impactful, goal-focused campaigns.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Drive company growth by leading sales & marketing activities:
- Lead generation
- Pitching & negotiation
- Sales process management
- Strategic planning
- Reporting & analysis
- Team management
- Utilise company CRM system to improve customer service, retention and sales growth
- Understand client needs and tailor solutions based on strategic business objectives
- Lead on-boarding processes for new clients
- Oversee new client accounts and associated project delivery for initial period
- Monitor performance on an ongoing basis
- Deliver annual appraisal process
- Understand and adhere to HR procedures relating to line management
- Take a lead role in developing and implementing company marketing and sales campaigns
- Take a lead role in at least one key internal department e.g. HR, Health & Safety
- Provide support to client services delivery team as required
Key Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- 3-4 years’ experience in business development, ideally in advertising/marketing
- Proven success in sales, hitting targets, and growing client accounts
- Strong grasp of financial targets, budgets, and CRM/sales tools
- Skilled in project management and client services
- Previous team management experience
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Degree-level education or equivalent
- Proficient in MS Office and G Suite
- Willing to travel and stay overnight when required
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (insured for business use)
Desirable:
- Experience in tender writing and bid management processes
