Join Elexon as a Metering Analyst to own EMR and CFD settlement processes, advise stakeholders, and drive improvements in a supportive, inclusive team. We’re looking for an EMRS Metering Analyst to join the Settlement Services team at Elexon on a permanent basis. In the Metering Analyst role, you’ll act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on EMR and BSC metering arrangements, supporting the accurate and timely delivery of settlement processes for the Contracts for Difference (CfD) and Capacity Market (CM) schemes. You’ll provide technical expertise, analysis, and operational support to internal teams and external stakeholders, helping ensure settlement activities are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory obligations. This is a varied Metering Analyst role combining metering operations, stakeholder engagement, industry analysis, and process improvement within a highly regulated and critical area of the GB electricity market.

What you’ll do:

  • Complete daily EMR metering activities to support accurate and timely settlement of Capacity Market and Contracts for Difference schemes
  • Process metering aggregations, meter tests, component reallocations, change requests, OCPs and SRIs
  • Act as a technical SME on EMR, BSC, SVA, CVA, and Asset Metering processes
  • Respond to and resolve customer and stakeholder queries through the Service Desk
  • Conduct and support site audits, ensuring findings and outcomes are communicated appropriately
  • Produce analysis, reports, recommendations, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the assessment and delivery of industry change and strategic initiatives
  • Provide advice, training, and support to market participants on regulatory and metering obligations
  • Support internal and external audit activities, including ISAE3402, ISO9001, and ISO27001 processes
  • Contribute to incident management, problem resolution, and operational improvements
  • Review and improve operational processes and Local Working Instructions (LWIs)
  • Engage with industry stakeholders to enhance confidence in EMRS services and capabilities

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong knowledge of EMR, Capacity Market, Contracts for Difference, and Settlement Services processes
  • Experience working with SVA, CVA, Asset Metering, or electricity settlement arrangements
  • Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of BSC Agents, EMR Parties, and associated stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess issues and develop practical solutions
  • Experience producing reports, recommendations, and stakeholder communications
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of the wider GB electricity market (desirable)
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, or regulated industry processes (desirable)
