Drive excellence with hybrid working & great benefits. We have an exciting opportunity for a Metering Analyst (Grade 11) to join the EMR Metering Team on a permanent basis. Team Overview: We are the Settlements Services Provider, delivering settlement for the Contract for Difference (CFD) and the Capacity Market (CM). Appointed by BEIS, we act on behalf of the Low Carbon Contracts Company (the CFD Counterparty) and the Electricity Settlements Company (the CM Settlement Body). The EMR Metering Team ensures accurate and timely processing of all CM and CFD related metering requests and issues, in line with contractual Service Measures and Key Performance Indicators. A service desk is operated to answer stakeholder queries and service requests. Job Purpose: As an EMRS Metering Analyst, you will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all Metering aspects of the BSC and EMR (CfD & CM), its systems and processes. You will provide specialist analysis, advice, and support to internal colleagues and external customers and stakeholders. You will also contribute to growing the brand and reputation of EMRS through face-to-face and online events. You will review operational processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and update Local Working Instructions (LWIs). There will be opportunities to contribute to projects such as software releases and website updates. As an SME, you will: Analyse and assess options for addressing issues in EMR arrangements, presenting options internally and to external stakeholders including LCCC and CMAG. Lead and undertake electricity market analysis to support BSC change, product development, market design, or strategic initiatives. Support industry change assessments and delivery, focusing on strategic areas of importance. Contribute to responses to industry consultations and develop engagement materials. Provide analysis, draw conclusions, and present recommendations for decision-making and implementation. Offer advice, training, and support to Market Participants and Key Stakeholders regarding obligations and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Complete daily metering tasks for timely and accurate settlement of EMR charges, including processing for CM and CFD. Guide technical operational metering for business projects and process improvements. Respond to customer queries via the Service Desk and resolve issues. Ensure site audits are conducted and results communicated to relevant parties. Engage with industry stakeholders to increase awareness and confidence. Support internal and external audits, produce reports, and resolve discrepancies. Contribute to incident and problem management, keeping colleagues informed. Support EMRS Operations activities as required. Assist with audits and accreditation processes. Capabilities and Competencies: Knowledge of Regulations, Settlement Services obligations, systems, and stakeholder roles. Understanding of EMR, SVA, CVA, and Asset Metering. Knowledge of the impact of EMR Metering processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of SQL. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to influence stakeholders. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of BSC Panel roles and the GB electricity market.
