Join Elexon as Product Owner and shape rules‑management tools for the energy market. Own vision, backlog, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver user‑centred, compliant products. In this role, you’ll take ownership of rules management services and products, ensuring the effective delivery and evolution of industry codes and governance processes, particularly the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC). Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you’ll act as the bridge between industry, governance, and delivery, ensuring changes are well‑defined, prioritised, and implemented in line with regulatory and market requirements. This is a role focused on industry change, governance, and stakeholder alignment, rather than technical product development.
What you’ll do:
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for Rules Management products and services
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, define priorities, and shape product direction
- Translate business needs into user stories, requirements, and delivery plans
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure successful product development and release
- Ensure products meet regulatory, governance, and operational requirements
- Collaborate with Code Management, Market Design, and other teams to align product and industry changes
- Monitor product performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Support change delivery and implementation of new or updated services
- Communicate product updates, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and governance forums
- Ensure alignment between product delivery and strategic objectives
What you’ll bring:
- Experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and Agile delivery
- Experience working with stakeholders to define and prioritise requirements
- Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, deliverable outputs
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working in regulated or complex environments
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and user feedback
- Experience supporting change or transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of the BSC, energy market, or regulatory frameworks (desirable)
- Experience working with digital products or platforms (desirable)
