Join Elexon as Energy Settlement Assurance Assistant: safeguard data integrity, analyse risks, and drive improvements in a collaborative, hybrid role.
We\'re looking for an Energy Settlement Assurance Analyst (Grade 9) to join our Assurance team at Elexon on a permanent basis. In this important role, you\'ll support the delivery of the Performance Assurance Framework, helping to identify, monitor, and mitigate risks to the accuracy of energy settlement data. Working closely with colleagues and industry stakeholders, you\'ll contribute to maintaining the integrity and robustness of the end‐to‐end Settlement process across the GB electricity market.
What you\'ll do:
Support the management of Settlement Risks, including assisting Risk Owners with monitoring, assessment, and mitigation activities
Analyse settlement and performance data in line with agreed processes, timescales, and quality standards to inform assurance activity
Contribute to the deployment of Performance Assurance Techniques and support the reporting of outcomes to internal stakeholders and external committees
Produce clear, structured reports and present findings to decision‐making bodies
Support audits and assurance reviews, including pre‐visit data analysis, participation in site visits, and documentation of findings
Maintain and update Local Working Instructions (LWIs) to ensure consistent and robust assurance processes
Identify and support improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of assurance activities
Provide secretariat support to BSC Panel Committees where required
Support ad‐hoc projects, including the development of analytical dashboards and new or enhanced systems
What you\'ll bring:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, evaluate, and clearly present complex datasets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to produce high‐quality technical reports and deliver presentations in formal or governance settings
Ability to work independently, take accountability for assigned activities, and deliver to deadlines
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
A proactive approach and willingness to contribute to team objectives and wider projects
A strong focus on quality, customer value, and continuous improvement
Knowledge of the GB electricity market, BSC arrangements, or the Performance Assurance Framework (desirable)
