This leading provider of market intelligence to the global energy sector is looking for a VP - Sales (Oil Products). The role involves aligning with product and business development to drive the product roadmap and marketing activities for existing subscribers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, evaluating, and executing new business opportunities related to price assessments, new products, and improvements to the existing product line.
  • Ensuring optimum activity levels are delivered while meeting Service Level Agreement targets.
  • Educating clients on maximising the value from their relationship with the company.
  • Representing the business to clients through visits, feedback, and a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Providing excellent customer experience from onboarding to resolving queries within the desired service level agreement.
  • Utilising CRM to track accounts throughout their subscription lifecycle, analysing client usage trends, and identifying tactics to drive growth and protect revenues.
  • Maintaining customer records and client engagement activity efficiently.
  • Participating in client engagement initiatives to increase retention and account penetration.
  • Travelling as required within the region and gathering competitor intelligence.
  • Being the client advocate when designing new products and engaging their feedback.
  • Attending and coordinating marketing presence at relevant industry conferences/events to increase awareness of platforms and content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding customers and their challenges to shape the go-to-market approach.
  • Collaborating as part of the global team, coaching new hires, and supporting experienced sellers.
  • Executing commercial strategy by identifying and prioritising opportunities with account managers.
  • Delivering results by achieving sales targets and driving successful product launches.

Skills and Experience

  • 10 years’+ experience in sales, preferably B2B information/data.
  • Market experience in Marine Fuels, Base oil, and Bitumen.
  • Superb communication skills at all seniority levels.
  • Pro-active, agile, and able to work at pace.
  • Comfortable reviewing data to identify trends and challenges.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a matrix organisation.
  • Willingness to work from HQ at least 3 days a week.
