I am recruiting for a Site Engineering Manager, this role is working for a speciality chemicals business that is steeped in history and over the last few years have seen a dramatic increase in production. This could be your chance to become a senior leader with an outstanding business.
Purpose of the Role
Lead and manage engineering and maintenance teams to ensure high-quality production aligned with the site standards. As part of the site leadership team, contribute to long-term strategic planning and promote continuous improvement through innovation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive proactive, customer-focused solutions and continuous process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO50001 standards.
- Support product development and process optimisation across sites.
- Identify and plan long-term capital investments.
- Oversee maintenance, engineering projects, and budget management.
- Lead implementation of advanced process controls and reliability systems.
- Mentor team members and support cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and company procedures.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong safety, environmental, and process safety awareness.
- Expertise in engineering, maintenance strategies, and process technologies.
- Proven experience with budget and business plan management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical) and Chartered Engineer status.
- Minimum 10 years in chemical manufacturing, including 5 in a leadership role.
