Job Description
Our client are searching for Senior Light Ends Trader to join their team that will focus on trading of crude oil and products, based in London. This role will give you exposure to the entire commodity trading lifecycle, both physical and financial.
Job Function:
– Developing and expanding the light ends activities both with new ideas around the current assets and growth initiatives
– Trading of physical light ends books and associates derivatives
– Devising proprietary trading strategies, both on physical and derivatives, and liaise with system to optimise the flows
– Liaise with shipping for the chartering of shipping, on spot or term basis
Responsibilities:
– locate and acquire optimal feedstock for the company's refining and petrochemical system, locate and sell the company's refining and petrochemical system products to the best buyer
– support the origination team in developing long-term asset and contractual positions in line with the company's long-term products trading strategy
Desired Skills:
– 10+ years experience in trading, with a proven track record of delivery
– experience with derivative instruments for hedging
– must have experience with naphtha, and strong knowledge of gasoline markets, including physical and futures trading
