We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Plant Operator to join our operations team. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the plant by monitoring equipment, responding to operational issues and supporting continuous plant performance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator who enjoys working in a dynamic industrial environment and takes pride in maintaining high operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor and control plant systems from both the control room and the field.
  • Carry out routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor plant instrumentation, control systems and alarms, responding promptly to any operational issues.
  • Support plant start-ups, shutdowns and emergency operations.
  • Perform routine operational checks and basic preventative maintenance, reporting any equipment defects.
  • Accurately complete shift logs, reports and operational records.
  • Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams during planned maintenance and outages.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and performance.

About You:

  • A technical qualification in engineering, mechanical, electrical or process operations, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in a power generation, process manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • A good understanding of plant operations, health and safety requirements and safe systems of work.
  • Experience working with SCADA, DCS or similar control systems.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings.
