Trading Analyst
We are working with a leading global energy and commodities business that is seeking a Trading Analyst to join its growing biofuels trading team in London.
The successful candidate will support sustainability operations across the biofuels supply chain, managing mass-balance accounting, certification, audits and feedstock traceability, while also providing analytical and commercial support to the wider trading team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sustainability mass-balance activities across the biofuels supply chain.
- Maintain sustainability documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and certification requirements.
- Support the optimisation and management of certified sustainable products and feedstock balances.
- Work with suppliers, counterparties and certification bodies to ensure feedstock traceability.
- Coordinate sustainability certifications and support audit processes.
- Monitor regulatory developments and support the implementation of new compliance requirements.
- Contribute to sustainability, digitalisation and traceability projects.
- Provide market analysis, reporting and ad hoc commercial analysis to support trading activities.
Requirements
- Experience within sustainability, biofuels, renewable fuels, commodities or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of sustainability certification, traceability and renewable fuel regulations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with suppliers, customers and internal teams.
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, IT or another quantitative discipline.
