Exciting opportunity to join a Leading Global Commodity Trading company who is looking for a Senior Oil Logistics & Storage Optimisation Analyst to join their expanding Oil Trading Team. You will be responsible for providing assistance to Traders and Managers, preparing reports. The team plays a crucial role in the company’s Net Zero 2050 strategy and benefits from the company’s strong trading position and global integration. Main responsibilities:
- Evaluate terminals globally for crude oil, oil products and biofuels that align with the company’s storage strategy.
- Support the negotiation and finalisation of terms and conditions for the storage of crude oil, oil and chemical products and biofuels.
- Model storage agreements to determine the economic value of each deal.
- Assist in evaluating new markets from a logistics perspective, collaborating with the Joint Study teams.
- Develop economic models to support decision-making for new storage projects.
- Conduct market analysis in areas where the company and other company entities can expand their logistics presence.
Skills and experience required:
- Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or similar).
- Previous experience in a role related to oil trading, refining activities (crude supply, slate optimisation and oil product sales), or logistics optimisation.
- Experience in economic modelling and business plan development.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to a range of stakeholders.
- Proactive, results-oriented, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages would be an advantage.
