The Maintenance Engineer role has the primary responsibility for maintenance and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities, establishing and following safe maintenance work practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize output.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work and ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
Liaise with external suppliers and contractors for timely servicing and repairs.
Conduct regular inspections, servicing, and repairs to prevent breakdowns.
Ensure machinery and equipment operate reliably and efficiently.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering.
