This leading provider of market intelligence to the global energy sector aligns with product and business development to drive the product roadmap and marketing activities for existing subscribers. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying, evaluating, and executing new business opportunities related to new price assessments, products, and improvements to the existing product line.
- Ensuring optimum activity levels are delivered while meeting Service Level Agreement targets.
- Educating clients on maximising the value from their relationship with the company.
- Representing the business to clients through engagement from the start of the commercial relationship, client visits, and focusing on client satisfaction.
- Providing excellent customer experience from smooth onboarding to resolving queries within the desired service level agreement.
- Utilising CRM to track accounts throughout their subscription lifecycle, analysing client usage trends, and identifying tactics to drive growth and protect revenues.
- Maintaining customer and user records efficiently.
- Participating in client engagement initiatives to increase retention and account penetration.
- Travelling as required within the region.
- Gathering competitor intelligence.
- Being the client advocate when designing new products, engaging their feedback to shape changes and launches.
- Attending and coordinating marketing presence at relevant industry conferences/events to increase awareness of platforms and content.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding customers: By understanding market themes, industry types, and customer personas, you’ll know the challenges they face and help shape the go-to-market approach.
- Collaborating as part of the global team: Coaching new hires and supporting experienced sellers with your deep knowledge of solutions and market needs.
- Executing commercial strategy: Partnering with account managers to identify, size, and prioritise opportunities, working alongside the sales team to secure business.
- Delivering results: Achieving sales targets through efforts supporting the sales team and working with internal stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- 10 years’+ experience in sales, preferably B2B information/data.
- Market experience in Marine Fuels, Base oil, and Bitumen, especially in commercial dealings.
- Superb communicator at all seniority levels.
- Pro-active, agile, and able to work at pace.
- Comfortable reviewing data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Able to work effectively in a matrix organisation, influencing and engaging colleagues to achieve objectives.
- Willingness to work from HQ at least 3 days a week.
