An established specialist in safety-critical engineering is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex projects across the UK.
You will be accountable for programme, cost, quality, safety, and commercial performance from tender through to handover, operating in highly regulated environments. This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams delivering technically complex works.
Key Responsibilities- Lead safety-first delivery, embedding a strong nuclear safety culture
- Manage NEC and other contracts, including change, early warnings, and cost control
- Own project programmes, milestones, and recovery strategies
- Lead client and stakeholder relationships, representing the business at senior level
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and site delivery teams
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
- Proven experience delivering multi-disciplinary construction or engineering projects (HVAC, pipework, electrical)
- Strong NEC contract knowledge and commercial awareness
- Experience working in safety-critical or highly regulated environments
- Confident leader able to perform under pressure and tight programmes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, construction management, or related discipline
- SMSTS/IOSH and nuclear/defence experience desirable
