We are seeking a skilled Operator Technician to support the daily operation of a highly regulated process plant. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for operating, monitoring, and optimising plant performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
You’ll work closely with engineering and operations teams in a fast-growing, innovative environment focused on sustainable, low-carbon technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and maintain process equipment (reactors, compressors, instrumentation)
- Support plant start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Identify and support process improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering or process discipline (or vocational equivalent)
- Experience in a chemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow SOPs and interpret technical documentation
- Desirable: Control systems experience
- Exposure to fuel, chemical, or energy-related processes
- Interest in sustainable or low-carbon technologies
