We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the design, optimisation, and scale-up of processes across R&D, pilot, and demonstration plants. This role sits between Process and Principal Process Engineers, combining hands-on technical delivery with mentoring and technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead process design activities, including modelling, PFDs, P&IDs, and mass/energy balances
- Develop and optimise catalytic conversion and separation processes
- Translate lab and pilot data into scalable, commercially robust designs
- Support technology scale-up from lab to demonstration scale
- Lead and participate in HAZID/HAZOP and ensure strong process safety standards
- Provide process input to techno-economic assessments and proposals
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a strong safety and performance culture
Experience & Qualifications
- MEng/MSc in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong industrial experience in process engineering and technology scale-up
- Experience leading engineering workstreams and using process modelling tools
