Eleven Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and resilient leader to oversee a therapeutic children's home supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), trauma-related presentations and complex behaviours. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care, supporting staff development and ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people.
The Role
- As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational leadership and management of the children's home, ensuring the service delivers safe, nurturing and high-quality care while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
- Providing effective leadership and direction to the residential care team.
- Creating a positive, child-centred culture focused on achieving meaningful outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding procedures.
- Supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes in education, wellbeing, independence and personal development.
- Managing staffing structures, rotas, supervision and performance management processes.
- Overseeing budgets and ensuring effective operational management.
- Developing positive relationships with local authorities, families and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Leading quality assurance initiatives and continuous service improvement.
- Managing and preparing for Ofsted inspections.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Previous experience within residential children's services at management or senior level.
- Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Experience leading and developing teams within residential settings.
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager.
- Experience supporting children with ASC, SEMH needs, trauma or complex behavioural presentations.
- Understanding of therapeutic and relationship-based care models.
- Experience working within specialist or therapeutic residential environments.
