Position: Senior Residential Children\’s Home Support Worker
Location: Leiston, Suffolk
Job Type: Full-time 42 hours per week including sleep-ins and waking nights (where required)
Salary: Starting from £30,685.20 (depending on experience)

Our client provides residential services for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, in a therapeutic and homely environment.

Requirements
Experience leading and supervising a team
Experience in residential childcare
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
A passion for working with children and young people
Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and responsibilities
Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations
Excellent communication skills
Full driving licence
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
A strong commitment to putting the needs of children, young people, and their families first
Key Responsibilities
1. Take a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement
2. Provide guidance and support to support workers
3. Supervise designated staff members and document this appropriately
4. Raise any concerns with the Registered Manager
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
Driving Licence and access to a car
Right to work in the UK (our client is not able to offer sponsorship)
1 year of experience working with children
Preferred:
1 year experience in a childrens home environment
Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare
