Female Support Worker Female Support Worker – Full Time (39 Hours)

Flexibility is required Monday to Sunday across all shifts.

Salary: £25,845 per annum (pro rata) This post is open to female applicants only, as being female is deemed to be a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010.

A full UK manual driving licence is essential due to the location of the service and shift patterns.

About the Role You'll be supporting adults with learning disabilities, Down syndrome and PICA, helping them to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice and wellbeing.

This is a varied and rewarding role that involves supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, medication administration and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.

The people you support enjoy leading active lives within their local community, taking part in activities such as baking, arts and crafts, visiting cafés, enjoying meals out and accessing local amenities.

You'll play an important role in helping them achieve their goals and enjoy meaningful experiences every day.

What You'll Be Doing No two days are the same, but you'll be

  • Supporting people with all aspects of daily living while promoting independence, dignity and choice.
  • Assisting with personal care and medication administration.
  • Supporting people to access their local community, hobbies and social activities.
  • Encouraging and maintaining relationships with family and friends.
  • Supporting individuals with managing their finances where required.
  • Assisting with shopping, cooking and maintaining a clean, safe home environment.
  • Helping people achieve their personal goals and celebrate their successes every day.

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is

  • Caring, compassionate and reliable.
  • Passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives.
  • Comfortable providing personal care and administering medication following training.
  • Flexible and willing to work a variety of shifts.
  • A confident communicator and supportive team player.
  • Willing to learn and undertake ongoing training.
  • Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Driving
