Eleven 11 Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Maintenance Coordinator to join their Facilities team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced multi-skilled maintenance professional to join a busy and supportive environment, carrying out a variety of maintenance, repair and improvement works across multiple sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering responsive and planned maintenance services, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard while meeting compliance, health and safety, and service performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a range of multi-skilled maintenance tasks including carpentry, joinery, plumbing, painting and decorating across occupied and vacant properties.
- Complete repairs, improvement works and support new building projects as required.
- Conduct inspections of properties to identify maintenance requirements and determine the most cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure all works are completed to required quality standards and within health and safety procedures.
- Accurately record works completed and update systems using handheld devices and tablets.
- Liaise with colleagues, contractors and residents regarding maintenance activities and urgent works.
- Maintain van stock levels to support efficient service delivery.
- Drive and operate company maintenance vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota where required.
- Support wider teams with maintenance advice and guidance when necessary.
- Complete all associated administration and maintain accurate records.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, one-to-one meetings and annual appraisals.
- Support a culture of safeguarding, inclusion and excellent customer service.
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years experience within a maintenance or similar environment.
- Experience within multi-trade roles including joinery, building, plumbing, decorating or general maintenance.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Recognised apprenticeship or training in a relevant trade discipline.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients and contractors.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
- High levels of professionalism, honesty and integrity.
- Willingness to work occasional unsociable hours if required.
Desirable:
- City & Guilds qualifications in relevant trades.
