Eleven Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and passionate Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a dedicated residential team and drive positive outcomes for children and young people. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and motivated leader to take responsibility for a children's residential home supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the home delivers exceptional care, achieves regulatory compliance, and creates a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational leadership and management of the home, ensuring the service consistently delivers high-quality, child-centred care and remains compliant with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements.

  • Leading, motivating and developing a dedicated residential care team
  • Ensuring children and young people receive high-quality, individualised care
  • Maintaining compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding requirements
  • Supporting positive outcomes in education, emotional wellbeing, independence and personal development
  • Managing staffing, supervision, performance and rota planning
  • Building positive relationships with local authorities, families and external professionals
  • Leading quality assurance and continuous service improvement
  • Preparing for and managing Ofsted inspections

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Previous experience within residential children's services in a management or senior leadership capacity
  • Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • Experience managing teams and improving outcomes for children and young people
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH, EBD, trauma or complex needs
  • Understanding of therapeutic and relationship-based care approaches
