A bit about the Nursery… This is one of Surrey’s leading Prep Schools situated in New Malden for children between 2 and 11 with links with secondary, Grammar and Independent Schools to ensure pupils are best prepared for transitions in their lives. The Early Years department has 3 classes: Little Learners, for children aged between 2 and 3 years; Pre School for children aged between 3 and 4 years; and the Reception class for children aged 4-5 years. The curriculum is based around the seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage with a focus on Literacy and Maths, swimming and games, with students exceeding national averages in high numbers. Parents are made to feel welcome and are encouraged to take an active part in school life so Early Years students leave for the next stage in their lives equipped with academic and social tools to help them excel!
What does the role involve?
- Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children ensuring a diverse and inclusive approach is maintained at all times.
- Be an EYFS role model to young learners.
- Organise, participate in and progress activities relevant to children’s learning styles.
What do I need?
- Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification.
What if I don’t have the Level 3?
We understand there is a shortage of people with Level 3 at the moment but if you are dedicated and committed to this as a career, we’ll pay for your qualification as part of your employment!
