Join us as a Lift Installation Engineer in Bedfordshire. We are recruiting for a Lift Installation Engineer to cover Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality installation work and completing handovers to the required standards. This is a full time and permanent role.
Your main responsibilities:
- Measuring & setting out lift/escalator installations in accordance with approved procedures.
- Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety.
- Preparing the work area for installation activities and confirming completion of installation activities.
- Installing lift/escalator Well and Ancillary Equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
- Installing Traction Equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
- Installing Lift Ropes (traction media) and adjusting in accordance with approved procedures.
- Installing Lift Doors and Frames in accordance with approved procedures.
- Checking and Setting the Lift/escalator Installation in accordance with approved procedures.
- Carrying out site surveys.
- Keeping the supervisor informed regarding the progress of work, hours spent and any non-compliance.
- Staying in communication with the customer and the supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Attending all relevant training sessions.
- Carrying out all works in accordance with the Company’s Quality Corporate policy.
- Working in accordance with the Company’s Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Contributing to the Company safety objectives.
What you bring:
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator Installation or equivalent.
- Possession of a relevant/valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
- More advanced product and Installation knowledge/experience.
- Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- The ability to work independently with a flexible approach.
- Good communication skills at different levels.
- Good Punctuality.
- Manual dexterity.
- Full UK driving License.
