We are pleased to be recruiting for a well established manufacturing business in Hull as they look to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager into the team. This will be an autonomous role which will involve you partnering with senior leaders and managers across the business, helping them to understand what their numbers mean, why they matter, and what actions will drive improvement. You will also be responsible for leading and developing a small finance team.

Duties will include:
- Convert operational finance data into simple, actionable insight to be presented to a range of stakeholders
- Highlight financial consequences of operational trends and clearly outline recommended actions to help influence operational decisions
- Attend regular operations meetings
- Lead two direct reports — Financial Analyst and Ledger Clerk — through coaching, development and clear expectation setting.
- Support margin, contribution and customer profitability analysis
- Support Commercial on pricing, tenders and negotiations
- Create rolling forecasts and various financial modelling projects
- Ensure accurate management accounts, VAT, payroll, stock reconciliation and audit support
- Maintain robust costing controls while operational teams maintain technical process controls
- Support financial governance and maintain robust financial controls
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Knowledge of manufacturing cost drivers
- Costing experience
- Business partnering
- Good reporting and analytical skills
- People leadership
- Strong communication skills
- Good commercial acumen
- Entrepreneurial and driven
